The new piston kit utilizes HKS’s new & unique “Triple Tumble” crown structure. This crown structure allows for a third tumble flow on the intake side of the piston, which helps prevent engine knock.
For best performance, install the piston kit and connecting rods as a set. Installing them separately may cause imbalance and vibrations.

Billet Piston Kit Bore (Φ87.5 / Weight 352g):
- To enhance knock resistance and achieve higher compression ration, HKS has adopted HKS's unique "Tripe Trumble" crown structure.
- The piston crown's design creates a third tumble flow on the intake side as the piston moves upward. This quickly spreads the flame near the edge of the intake side, which helps prevent engine knock.
- High-temperature-resistant A2618 material and precision machining combine to deliver significant weight.
- "Bridge Concept Design" (BCD) structure enhances structural rigidity and contributes to weight reduction.
- Three oil jets deliver cooling oil precisely for effective cooling.
- Nickel plating above the top ring groove improves knock resistance and wear resistance.
- A two-layer coating enhances anti-seizure properties and reduces friction.
- Original shortening piston pin design reduces the weight of the piston pin boss section.
- Titanium coating on the top ring enhances durability.
